Mary Robinson

Senator Mary Robinson is a globally recognized leader in the agricultural sector and an active member in her Prince Edward Island community. She is a managing partner of the Robinson Group of Companies, a 6th-generation farm and agribusiness in Albany, PEI, and has worked with the company for over 25 years.
Senator Robinson has contributed to the agricultural sector provincially, nationally, and internationally. She has served as President of the PEI Federation of Agriculture, the first female Chair of the Canadian Agricultural Human Resources Council, and President of the Canadian Federation of Agriculture. She was also Vice-President of the World Farmers’ Organisation and held roles on various advisory councils. Currently, she sits on the University of PEI Board of Governors and the Board of Mid Isle Farms. for Food Integrity and Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada’s National Food Policy Advisory Council.
In addition to her agricultural work, Senator Robinson has been an active member of her community, contributing to local schools, sports programs, and the arts. She has been recognized with the PEI Women’s Institute Outstanding Woman in Agriculture Award and named one of Atlantic Canada’s Top 25 Most Powerful Women.
Senator Robinson holds a BA in Economics and Business from Acadia University. In January 2024, she was appointed to represent PEI in the Senate of Canada, where she will focus on agriculture and rural life.
